Watson says "I will come with pleasure," I said. “I don't know how I could use my time better.” (Doyle, 34 years old). This statement alone shows that he is willing to do anything and go wherever Holmes wanted. However, you see that Watson really enjoys being around Holmes, this makes him think about situations in a different way. For example, what we consider to be a simple scratch on the floor could be much more significant in the eyes of Holmes and Watson. In a way it can be said that without Holmes, Watson would be bored and probably waste his life dealing with less important things. However, from the excitement and joy seen in this statement it can be assumed that Watson will remain by Holmes' side and continue their adventure. Not only does Watson continue to follow Holmes, but he's starting to get equally excited about the unique opportunity they've stumbled upon.
