Twelve items selected from my closet for this project. They were produced in China, Vietnam, Pakistan, Türkiye, India and the United States. Five countries on this list are located in Asia; The United States, China and India are three of the six contemporary world powers. For physical locations, both China and Vietnam located in East and Southeast Asia; India and Pakistan located in South Asia; Turkey is located in the Middle East and the United States is located in North America. Although I purchased those clothes in the United States, according to the table it is easy to see that six items were made in China and two in Vietnam. This fact reflects the fact that China and Vietnam have become significant markers of manufacturing activity in the world. Furthermore, the higher percentage of “made in China or Vietnam” and economic globalization cannot be separated. The United States became the world superpower after the Cold War with the former Soviet Union, and the power of the United States still has significant influence in several spheres. Furthermore, it has a vast area that includes fifty states. According to the World Factbook, imports exceed exports in the US economy. Most industrial supplies, capital, and consumer goods are products imported into U.S. markets. The ethnic group structure in the United States is more complex than in other countries due to the various immigrants from all over the world who have shown up in the United States over the course of a couple of centuries. As a result, diverse immigrants and their descendants have formed the hallmark of diversity of US society and culture. Similarly, China also has a large area with many marginal provinces and seas, and its area is only slightly larger than the area of the United States. However, China is a great country due to its large... half of the paper..., a higher birth rate, a total fertility rate, an infant mortality rate, and a greater number of poor people. India's population is also four times that of the United States: the same situation as China, but India's area is only one in four of the United States' area. In these countries women still carry out a large percentage of textile jobs, but working conditions are worse: poor economic and health development is the main cause that cannot be ignored. Their cheap labor force and demand for economic development promote the “sweat factories” found in those underdeveloped countries. From this secret analysis I first learned the basic overview of different countries that produced my clothes. Second, draw on those statistics to think critically and make connections between my clothes and global trade networks. In this sense the personal wardrobe is the mirror of the global market.
