Cyberbullying is harassment perpetrated by an individual or group through electronic means such as telephones, laptops, and iPods. Cyberbullying not only affects the metal state of the victim, but spills over into effects such as harassment, defamation, and threats, and can become physical. These can include depression, eating disorders and self-harm. The hypothesis put forward by the 11th grade health class is that by increasing awareness about cyberbullying, the prevalence of this problem and related behaviors will decrease. Social factors that can influence cyberbullying include social structures, social factors, relationships, and social networks. Cyberbullying has a negative effect on peer groups. National state and local statistics were collected that reflect statistics collected at the school. Judging by the statistics there is a clear need to strengthen community action within the Meridan State College community. This was done by identifying, analyzing, and evaluating an equitable plan for my ninth grade classmates at Meridan State College. The data collected conformed to federal, state, and local statistics. The strengths of this action plan include having a willing audience and the Year 11 students working as a team. The weakness is that a class from the ninth year group was interviewed and that the action plan should be implemented over a longer period of time. “Never let yourself be forced into silence.
