Despite all the difficulties he encountered, he always had another idea to pursue. Disney always had an interest in art and had the courage to pursue his dream. Throughout his life, he was able to realize many of his lifelong plans. While fame and fortune didn't come to him all at once, he built a legacy throughout his life. Walter Elias Disney was born on December 5 in the year 1901 in Chicago. His parents were of English/Irish and German descent. Traveling quite often, he and his family moved between Missouri, Kansas City, and back to Chicago. Disney grew up with a passion for art. As a child he attended art classes and even had the opportunity to become a cartoonist for his school magazine. Walt dropped out of school early to join the army and was rejected because he was underage. Shortly thereafter, in 1918, Disney began driving an ambulance in France after joining the Red Cross. A year later, he returned to Kansas to begin his career in the one that put him on the road to fame, the film industry. (Walt Disney Biography) Walt Disney founded Laugh-O-Gram Films in 1922. A year later, in 1923, he moved to Los Angeles where he incorporated Disney Bros and teamed up with his brother Roy. She signed a contract with Margaret Winkler to produce “Alice Comedies” which gave her product national distribution. In 1927, Disney's distributor arranged for the "Oswald the Lucky Rabbit" cartoon series to be distributed through Universal, which gave Disney Films regular access to theaters and the introduction...... half of the newspaper. .....ge of 65, his life was cut short on December 15, 1966. Disney was cremated and his ashes were scattered at Forest Lawn Cemetery in California. After his death, Walt's brother Roy completed the theme park and it opened in 1971. The name of the theme park was Walt Disney World (Walt Disney Biography). The Walt Disney Company continued with Disney's ideas after his death, headquartered in Burbank, California (World Book). In conclusion, Walt Disney lived a very successful life. He had been married with children and had built a great name for his family. Disney never gave up on its dreams. He took more art classes to pursue his career. Despite his failures, he never lost sight of what was most important to him, his artistic career. If Walt Disney were alive today, it is believed that he would still be producing cartoons and animations for children's films.
