Othello and Desdemona began their life together thinking it would last forever. The handkerchief symbolizes the beginning of a new generation, a sign of their union and, ultimately, determines their fate and that of the main characters' lives changed by events. The film adaptation, as in Shakespeare's work, makes the handkerchief significant to the plot. Othello's mother gave him the handkerchief on his dying bed to give to the women he married. “She, dying, gave it to me and ordered it to me, when my destiny would have wanted me as a wife; give her." Desdemona and Othello confess their love for each other in the hope of a happy life together. Unknown to them, the handkerchief would be their ruin. Desdemona "Heavens do not forbid that our loves and our comforts increase even if our days grow." Othello's reply was: “Amen, sweet powers! I cannot speak enough of this content; it stops me here; it is too much joy. And this, and this, will be the greatest discord that ever our hearts will make. " Othello is speaking my sweet strength! I can't say enough; hear my heart with joy and may our hearts sing together without conflict. (2. 1.186-190). Entering the bedroom Desdemona and Emilia find Othello with a headache. «And then, my dear Othello?» your dinner and the generous islanders invited by you are present in your presence. Desdemona asks Othello: do you feel better, my dear husband. Desdemona tells Othello that the people you have invited have requested your presence at dinner. "I have pain in my forehead here." Desdemona tells Othello that his head would soon improve, “faith, that with vigilance; he will go away again. Let me bind it well, by this time it will be... half the paper...lls Othello "No, Cassio was not killed." Now Othello's plan is ruined. Emilia asks what happened to Desdemona. (Oh, Lord! What cry is this?) This is when Emilia finds Desdemona dead in bed. (V.2. 67-68 72. 80) (V.2.114-116). Emilia uttered these words “you told a lie, a hateful lie! On my soul, lie! An evil lie! Did he lie to Cassius? Did you say with Cassio? Iago tells his wife to be quiet but Emilia informs Othello that she gave the handkerchief to Iago, and Iago put the handkerchief in Cassio's possession. Iago grabs his wife and kills her. Emilia staggers onto the bed, lies down next to Desdemona and dies. Othello discovers that Iago has deceived him and stabs Iago and himself. Roderigo was injured, Desdemona, Emilia, Iago, Othello lay dead in the bed which ultimately led to their deaths. (V.2. 180. 226-229)
