A leopard is a large, powerful cat that is nearly related to lions, tigers, and jaguars. The leopard is a strong animal. It can be comfortable in trees and usually kills its prey in some kind of branch. They would drag the body somewhere where it can be safe and so that hyenas or any other animal does not eat their food. They are able to hunt from trees. The reason is that because they have a spotted coat, their skin is visible in the leaves or wherever they hide. This animal is a predator and chases animals, such as an antelope, a deer and a pig. When they chase, they are usually ready to eat their prey. This would mean they don't have to move as much in tall grass. When they see a person near them, they would attack and the animal, if there is no animal, will immediately attack the person. Leopards are good swimmers, where they sometimes eat fish when swimming or crabs. A leopard can give birth throughout the year, no matter when. They usually give birth to two pups that appear grayish with barely visible spots. The mother leopard should hide her cub in other places so as not to eat. Once they are old enough to play and hunt, they are free to be alone. Cubs usually live with their mothers for a short time, like two years, because leopards are considered solitary animals as they spend most of their time alone. . Most leopards are light colored with usually some dark spots, they are called rosettes. There are different types of leopards such as snow leopard and clouded leopard which are subspecies of leopard. There is something about these two types of leopards that fall under the subspecies of a leopard. Supposedly a snow leopard is not a leopard, but the pattern... in the center of the card... the th people. These two types of leopards are critically endangered. There are ways to help these animals.
