The need for architecture is far from extinction and is continuously transformed with the passage of time, creating innovative methods of representing scenographic and functional works of art. The Romans and Greeks established a foundation for architecture that maintains its reputation for remarkable acts of beauty. "De Architectura", dedicated to Emperor Caesar Augustus, is known as the most primitive written work concerning architecture and was later published as Ten Books of Architecture. . Created by Vitruvius, a Roman architect around the 1st century AD, it supported the common principles of architecture recognized at the time. Vitruvius aspired to sturdiness, comfort and beauty. Ideal proportions were evident in early Roman and Greek art, particularly in sculptures depicting the human form. Architecture was no exception, so it desired accurate proportions to represent beauty. Roman architecture, although heavily influenced by the Greeks, differs slightly from its predecessor. The Greeks were recognized for their temples and theaters. Their buildings appear to blend with the surrounding landscape and placed on a platform to showcase its beauty. Three distinct designs were created by the Greeks known as the Doric, Ionic, and Corinthian orders. The Doric order was minimal compared to the Ionic and Corinthian orders. The Doric order is short with round capitals and widens in the lower part appearing heavy and masculine. Above the capital there is the abacus, square in shape and which connects it to the entablature. The entablature sits horizontally above... the center of the map... public baths, amphitheaters existed as community amenities. One of the most famous, the Roman Colosseum, was used for occasions such as gladiator fights, conferences and bullfights. Public squares or markets served as places for meetings, activities and political debates. The Roman Forum, which stood out in the wake of the Roman Republic, was the ideal public square. Greeks and Romans began to create innovative ways to produce beauty. In the process of generating magnificence, they influenced the future. With the passage of time, history has not disappeared but has continued to live in architectural forms and projects. Without the beauty of the past, the beauty of today would be meaningless. The Romans would not be known as an illustrious civilization if they lacked the sophistication and intricate construction that inspired their descendants.
