Good Will Hunting The movie Good Will Hunting shows a dramatic relationship between a teacher and a student and also the relationship between fellow teachers. The film helps you grow with the characters to anticipate and recognize the ways in which they interact with each other. It also incorporated how egos develop and arise due to relationships and how they can interact with people's daily lives. The teacher-teacher relationship between Dr. Sean Maguire (played by Robin Williams) and Professor Gerald Lambeau (played by Stellen Skarsgard) is an old friendship revived after a long separation. Being former college roommates and both obviously extremely intelligent, it is evident why competition and jealousy were possible between the two. The theme of ego is shown beautifully in this relationship through both jealousy and each other's accomplishments, or lack thereof. The first signs of jealousy are evident from Gerry who feels threatened by Sean with his brilliance and brilliance. The mention of Field's Metal and the assumption of the resentment Gerry feels from Sean towards him for having been more successful in life helps drive the conflict in their relationship. Gerry's ego is fueled by the success he has had and the awards he has accumulated. He is cocky and arrogant towards almost every character he comes into contact with in the film and is fueled by his successes. As one review shows, Gerr... halfway down the page... explains to both of them what egos are like. built and demolished, and how people have to depend on other people. The film has received numerous awards and rightly so thanks to the great mastery of the relational bonds and attributes assigned to each character. These two specific dramatic relationships are helpful in convincing the audience that these could be real situations and that they exist.
