Both glorious empires, the Mali founded in 1230 by founder Sundiata and the Mongol founded by Genghis Khan in 1206, contain many more differences than similarities. As the rise of the Mali and Mongol empires began to arise, they had significant effects on the areas in which they were located. Some similarities include religious tolerance and cultural growth through trade. Some differences include methods of violence and religion. Even though both of these superlative empires arose in different regions, they also shared some common views. The Mongol and Mali empires differ in their rise with the use of certain methods of conquest. Geographic locations play a huge role in the rise of both of these magnificent empires.
