Believe it or not, a similar situation occurred not long ago in the United States. In the 1930s nearly a million Mexican immigrants were deported to Mexico for fewer reasons than we have now. Mexican immigrants were sent back because Americans believed that all Mexicans would steal the few jobs available during the Great Depression. The anonymous author states: “About 60% of those who left were American citizens.” In today's society there are more reasons to get rid of illegal immigrants than just jobs, and as in the 1930s, some Americans want to get rid of Mexicans who have a natural right to be here. 2016 presidential election favorite Donald Trump says if elected he will deport all illegal immigrants and their legal children, as well as make Mexico pay for the great wall separating the United States and
