Credit card fraud is when someone uses your credit card without your permission, such as when someone makes an unauthorized charge authorized on your account. It means taking someone else's credit card and using it as if it were your own (yahoo, 2008). Credit card fraud is a term for theft and fraud in the use of a credit card or as a fraudulent source of funds in a transaction. The purpose of credit card fraud is to obtain goods without paying or to obtain unauthorized funds from another person's account (ASK, 2013). Credit card fraud that steals unauthorized credit card information to charge purchases to an account or remove equity from it is called identity theft. Furthermore, credit card fraud is a comprehensive term that is used for theft and dedication to schemes using a credit card as a false source of capital in a business. The purpose of such action is to withdraw unconstitutional or illegal assets from an account to acquire property without paying. Furthermore, identity theft is a form of identity theft where someone pretends to be someone else by having someone else's identity and credit card fraud is similar to identity theft (Wikipedia, 2013). As a tracking process, the United States Federal Trade Commission, it is clear that identity theft credit card fraud remained constant in 2008, but in recent years has increased by 21%. However, the commission added that credit card fraud is a type of crime that is considered “identity theft.” However, credit card frauds are limited in every transaction you make but in large transactions credit card frauds occur. In fact, fraud in credit card transactions has been limited to 0.1%.
