Brick Dimensions The size of a standard brick is: 76mm high x 230mm long x 110mm wide. Some bricks are made with different sizes. 50mm and 90mm high bricks, 90mm wide bricks and 290mm long bricks are produced for different structural and aesthetic effects. Larger bricks are often used for more economical laying and as a design element alone or combined with smaller bricks. In India, the brick size is 228 × 107 × 69 mm. Larger perforated bricks (140 mm w x 90 mm h x 290 mm w) are generally used in the cyclonic zone to ensure wall reinforcement and injection. Wider bricks (150mm wide) are used in walls requiring lower sound transmission, higher levels of fire resistance and higher load carrying capacity depending on the specific properties of the brick. The circular cavities are made of bricks. Its advantages are that they help in the firing process, reduce weight for handling, provide a better bond for the mortar. The dimensions of clay bricks may vary after firing, but the variation in size between units is averaged out if mixed correctly during laying. In most cases, the length of a brick is about double its width, about eight inches or so to provide adequate strength. Brick StrengthIt is defined as the load resistance per unit area. Brick strength is determined by the ability of a building material not to collapse or fall under the influence of external forces leading to internal tensions. Technical bricks have an average compressive strength of 59 MPa. An ordinary household brick is likely to show a range of 20 to 40 MPa. The strength for an Adobe sample means compressive strength: 1.195 MPa, average modulus of elasticity: 204.5 MPa, average strain at maximum strength: 11%, average tensile strength: 0.17 MPa Strength of Autoclaved Bric EMR.. .... half of the paper...... thermal transmittance can be reduced to a minimum1. Avoid thermal bridges in the brick and arrange the perforation of the voids in the quincunx2. Extend the vacuum perforations into the tongue-and-groove area (tongue and groove is a method of fitting similar objects together) and then break the thermal bridge.3. Provide a small gap in the assembly, to improve the conductivity of the bricks. Disadvantages • Brick manufacturing emits a lot of fluoride which is very toxic in nature. • It also produces electrolyte manganese waste (EMR) which is hazardous to nature. Ecological wayOne of the research focuses on the usefulness of expanded polystyrene as a mixture with cement, sand and water and on the preparation of cement brick. Which has an average compressive strength of 12.79 MPa. the relationship between density and compressive strength is given by the correlation fc = 2.43 x α2.997 x 10-9.
