IntroductionThis task makes us identify our personal and professional skills and will help us on how to archive organizational and personal objectives. As managers/leaders of a company we must first analyze our skills and ability to manage ourselves. The study will be discussed in 3 sections;1. Elaboration on Self-evaluation and personal development2. Define personal development toolkit and assessment of my current skills and issues3. Develop a personal development plan (PDP). In section 1, self-evaluation and personal development will be defined along with their importance for a manager in a business environment. Section 2 will be used to identify ourselves through a SWOT analysis, detailing on a personal and professional level and the importance of getting feedback from others through the Johari window model. Section 3 will help us understand where we are in terms of our current self-state, knowledge, role and abilities in relation to our future personal goals and objectives. Self-Assessment and Personal Development Self-evaluation is the process of analyzing ourselves to evaluate the factors that are important to achieving our life goals. (Sedikides, 1993) suggests that self-evaluation will help people learn more about the uncertain aspects of life. Furthermore, at the same time, people use self-evaluation to increase the certainty of their self-knowledge. By developing self-awareness (evaluating ourselves) we can gain control over ourselves in many weak areas of our lives. Self-awareness means having a deep understanding of your emotions, strengths, weaknesses, needs and drives. (Lyman W. Porter, 2003). Conclusion Precisely during this study we can take points that help us improve and achieve our goals career path and help us achieve our ability to face any type of challenge on a professional and personal level. Speaking up and taking the initiative to lead meetings are excellent ways to showcase our expertise so we can shine among the best in the industry so the market asks me could be higher. Furthermore, since I realized that technological innovation is one of the strengths, I can always be looking for new ways to contribute to the company I work for.
