The article then concluded by saying, “But when, or perhaps if, we decide to discuss how to address gun violence, we should keep people like Annoqunette Starr in mind” (Wing). But should we also keep in mind those nine black Christians killed by Dylaan Roof's illegal gun? Or maybe the nine who died in Oregon shooting from the gun the shooter received without issue during a background check? The deaths of all these victims demonstrates the ineffectiveness of the laws put in place and further demonstrates why cracking down on gun control is not the answer and that people should be allowed to carry guns to protect themselves, because criminals will get firearms if there are laws in force or
