Being family oriented is indeed essential for all Irish people as family and friends are held in high honour. However, families tend to accept that members seek their own path. As long as you visit home as often as possible, everything is fine. Reflection My overall impression of Irish culture is that I feel at home among all members of Ireland's quaint towns and villages. I was able to take part in many side conversations and enjoyed listening to the bands in all the pubs we visited. This culture is very similar to that of the mass of Americanisms where everyone is expected to do their best, seek a solid future, bring their family with them, but continue to demonstrate that being themselves is at the center of everything they do. Conclusion I wouldn't do it. I would have to change my behavior or ethics a lot if I were part of Irish culture. I believe in taking the time to get it right the first time, working hard for what I have, loving my family and friends, having my own beliefs, and enjoying life for every day I've been lucky enough to be a part of it
