A Expectations and first reactionThe reason why I chose this book is that I thought, reading the back of the book, that it would be an interesting and beautiful book. She didn't have many friends in her class and when her boyfriend Roger left her, it felt like her whole world came crashing down. Then he heard them moving. She has decided to start a new beautiful life, but in her new boring school she has no friends and feels very insecure. Then he meets a Jewish girl, Beth, with whom he gets along very well and can tell her everything. But when summer vacation arrives, Beth goes to a summer camp for Jewish children and Alice can't come. He decides to go to his grandparents, where he meets Jill, a girl from his previous school. Jill invites her to her party and Alice decides to go. He didn't know that they had put LSD in 10 of the 14 coke bottles there! When she drank a bottle she started sweating and felt a storm in her body, which she describes very well in her diary. Even though it was his first time, he thought it was a good experience. She decided not to take any more medications, but it turned out that she wasn't strong enough and wasn't 100% behind her decision. Jill took her home and the next day she wanted to try marijuana, soon she started using more and more of it as stimulant and tranquilizer pills, she also started snorting and injecting drugs. Above all, Bill, a friend of hers, continued to convince her and he also slept with her. She couldn't sleep at night because she might be pregnant. She needed someone to talk to and met Chris, a girl from a boutique, who got her back on stimulant pills.
