People who played these types of games started playing them from an early age. After seeing children playing violent games, some will want to fully support preventing these types of games from ending up in the hands of children. Violent video games can be somewhat positive, and the video game industry is providing great economic growth in several parts of the world. Regardless of this economic growth, children experience educational difficulties as a result of gaming. Time and attention are two key elements to student success. Playing violent video games inhibits a student's ability to learn. Children are usually not satisfied with what they have. Increasing the number of hours of play means that children cannot stop playing after just one hour. Research on this serious problem provides some numbers that should be used to prevent this problem from happening again in the future. According to Douglas A. Gentile, Ph.D, associate professor of psychology, stated that in the mid-1980s the average amount of time spent playing video games was quite low, averaging about two hours spent playing per week for girls and on average the kids spent four hours playing video games. In contrast, 2012 ended with an average of around 5.5 hours per week for girls and around 13 hours per week for boys. As children grow, their desire to play increases.
