Your Vision as a Psychology Practitioner-Scholar IntroductionOne of my visions as a professional psychology scholar is to become a clinical counselor. My purpose in psychology is to help people understand their lives clearly and distinctly. I specifically want to reach out to children and help them grow and be more than they have the potential to be. I want to focus on children's childhood development based on their environment. I want to be able to understand that children react the way they do in certain situations. Children have the characteristic of not being able to express themselves fully and therefore being able to help them understand their emotions. Vision My vision as a professional scholar in the field of psychology lies in clinical counseling. As a clinical consultant I observe the people around me and also try to understand their actions and why they react in certain situations. The more I realized that I like helping people with their problems, the more I realized that I was in the right field to help people understand their lives better. I don't always have the answers, but I do what it takes to better understand a situation so I can get the answers. I believe my purpose is to help people understand their lives a little better and talk big about their lives. I would especially like to help children so that I can help them understand their feelings. Children are usually more vulnerable than anyone else in the world. Becoming a professional scholar in this field means learning about different mental illnesses so that you are better prepared when encountering different patients. I took an abnormal psychology course where we briefly looked at each mental disorder, but I wish I could go deeper. During my time on this course we did several case studies, where I learned how to diagnose different clients and provide possible treatments. I would like to go beyond this method and learn more as I delve into clinical psychology. I would also like to dedicate myself more. One of the benefits is the ability to handle any patient situation you encounter. Another advantage of being a professional scholar is that you have in-depth knowledge of the field. I currently work in a call center environment and it's important to be informed, people want to know that you are able to provide accurate information and appear confident in doing so. Being a professional scholar in this field of psychology is the same thing. To guide people in the right direction in a consulting section, you want to know what you're talking about and sound confident when you talk about it. I committed to this goal because I once doubted I would ever get to this point in my life. I struggled to push myself in my college studies, but now that I'm older, I'm able to stay committed and get things done. I am thrilled that I have moved closer to becoming a clinical counselor. I have always enjoyed listening to and helping others and being a professional scholar in the field of psychology is something I know I will enjoy
