AbstractThis paper will discuss Boeing's management planning. Boeing, being a major distributor of airplanes, satellites and missiles, will evaluate and analyze the impact of the legal, ethical and social responsibility issues they bring. I will show how these factors can influence their strategic, tactical and contingency planning. Boeing Management Planning Boeing is a major aerospace and defense contractor in the United States. Boeing was founded by William E. Boeing over 90 years ago and has dominated the aerospace industry for many years. As the largest export to the United States, Boeing is a listed component of the Dow Jones Industrial Average. With a history spanning a long time, Boeing has seen the errors of its ways in terms of growth and opportunity. Legal issues, ethics and social responsibility have been part of their diverse educational experiences. Planning is an essential element of any business model and is a constant focus for Boeing. Faced with vigorous demands for aircraft quality, comfort, product demands and rapid technological advances, Boeing's management teams are very busy. While Boeing's challenges are not just the need for new innovations, they also have to keep up with their main competitor Airbus, which has historically had an upward growth position. Boeing management, through phenomenal strategic, tactical and contingency planning, continued to dominate the aerospace industry. Legal Problems Every large company that has stood the test of time has run into some form of legal problems. Boeing is no exception to this rule. Currently, Boeing is experiencing a strike over its mechanics who are pursuing extended job guarantee contracts…half of paper…n for a success that has lasted for over 90 years. They learned valuable lessons about ethics, legal issues and social responsibility. These lessons have taken them to new heights and they continue to rise. The development of a multitude of strategic plans, tactical plans and contingency plans have allowed them to face adversity, eliminate challenges and increase areas of potential.
