Topic > The Ins and Outs of College Budgeting - 1035

Inside the classroom we use lessons from a man named Dave Ramsey who knows how to get out of and stay out of debt. He has helped thousands of people and even founded his own "university", known as Financial Peace University, it is a course that helps ensure financial greatness in one's future. If I apply the lessons I have learned and will learn from this, perhaps I will be able to have a stable financial future. One of his beliefs is that you should avoid credit cards altogether because they are a financial black hole. I find his point of view a little extreme, but it is based on solid principles and facts. Credit cards can easily lead someone into debt. Some of the other ideas I've learned from consumer math include always having an emergency fund and putting money aside for your future. While it is often tempting to spend the money left over at the end of the month, this is very short-sighted and offers little or no benefit to the beneficiary.
