“Style is a way to say who you are without having to speak” Coco Chanel, one of the greatest stylists, once said. Style is being able to convey yourself through the use of fashion, that is, taking what is offered and making it something that coordinates with your attitude. I would like to spread the style around the world and inspire others to create their own sense of style. I aspire to become the editor of a major fashion magazine similar to Elle or Vogue. In this essay I discuss the various ways and requirements to one day edit my own fashion magazine. The working environment for a publisher continues to vary due to the advancement of technology. Many editors may work from home and on the road, but often also have a main office. Editors are required to travel frequently to conduct on-site research. Sometimes large cooperative publishers have many offices around the world, to make research easier and more accessible. A lot of the work is seeing other people's work, which requires a lot of interaction with other people. Although as editors they normally work with the same team, they also have to work with external people due to the topic being researched. Different technological programs and machines, such as printers, computers or laptops, are used on site. As an editor there are several tasks to perform to fulfill all the requirements. The main requirement is to review, edit and rewrite other writers' work; they review and edit articles, they also offer comments to improve the writer, and occasionally suggest titles. Additionally, an immense aspect is to continue to retain the author's work in the field of writing editing. Mainly the editor should criticize the author...... middle of paper ...... in the school newspaper or community newspaper. Even small magazines and newspapers often offer summer internships for students that introduce them to the lifestyle of a writer or editor. Interns are sometimes given the opportunity to write small articles, conduct research or projects, and learn about the publication process. I meet the requirements for this career and have the dedication to pursue my dreams. I believe all characteristics are similar to my personality traits and this job requires a leader, which I demonstrate with great defiance. While this job doesn't support the kind of lifestyle I dreamed of, I'm willing to give up some things to pursue something I'm very passionate about, which is writing and fashion. My love for fashion and my creativity make me a great candidate for the job.
