The Chronicles of Narnia: Book Report Digory and Polly were good friends. Both have lived in England all their lives. One day they were playing when Polly wanted to show Digory her secret place. It was in his attic. He hid many things there. He hid fruit, snacks and a lot of other things. Digory noticed a door on the other side of the attic. Back then the houses were connected to each other and they thought that if they went through the beams and opened the door they could sneak into one house and the next and so on. The reason for all this was that one of the lower houses was abandoned. So they began, one beam at a time. They had to remain extremely silent because if anyone saw them, they would think he was a thief. They opened the door and started on the next house. After a while they arrived at what they thought was abandoned, but after opening the door and seeing all the books they realized they were wrong. They were in the forbidden study. This was Uncle Andrew's private room. There didn't seem to be anyone in the room, so they decided to look around. Polly noticed that there were several types of rings on the table. Suddenly Digory saw someone get up from the chair, it was Uncle Andrew. He told Polly not to touch the rings, but it was too late. She disappeared into the air. Digory was confused. He wondered what the rings did. Did Polly simply disappear or did she go to some distant land? Uncle Andrew explained how that ring would bring you to this land and the other would bring you back. Uncle Andrew wasn't sure it worked yet because the only things that went in before were guinea pigs. Digory placed two rings in each pocket with gloves (so it wouldn't disappear). Two were for Polly and two for him. He inserted the disappearing ring and felt strange as he quickly headed towards the new land. It was like he was swimming. He swam up to see where the water was going. He came out of the water and saw a beautiful forest. He noticed some guinea pigs and in the distance a girl leaning against a tree. They noticed that there were many other pools of water like the ones they came out of throughout the woods. They would explore the other puddles, but wanted to make sure they could return first. They went over a puddle, but it was shallow. They realized that... middle of paper... about the wonders of the apple. She told him that one bite would make you live forever. Digory wasn't so sure. He started running towards Polly and Fledge. He shouted: prepare to leave. Just before Digory ascended, the witch said not to let the lion have immortal life when you can. At that moment Digory wasn't sure if what he was doing was right. They left for Narnia, which is the land where the lion lives. Thelion told them to throw him in the mud. Digory did this and it became a beautiful tree. The lion told him that the tree would protect them from the witch. Digory said he ate an apple. Then the lion thought about it for a while and said that he would spend the rest of his days practicing his magic and would leave us alone. Digory, Polly and Uncle Andrew went home. Digory still had an apple left from the tree he had planted in Narnia and he gave it to his poor old mother. The next day Digory heard the doctor say it was a miracle. Digory planted the hazelnut tree in the back yard. It became very large, but the apples had no power. When Digory was older and the tree was cut down, he had it transformed into a table or something that had magical powers.
