Physical Description of ChildCarmen is a 16-year-old girl who attends Hollywood Senior High School. She was born on December 10, 1998, meaning she is exactly 16 years and 10 months old. She is 5 feet 1 inch tall, with brown eyes and black hair. She notes that her hair is naturally dark brown, but she recently dyed it black to cover her previous bright purple hair dye. He weighs 125 lbs. According to his age group, he has average height and weight (Feldman, 2015). He always wore dark purple glasses. Today he was wearing a black Batman t-shirt, dark blue skinny jeans and purple Converse sneakers. Based on how her peers were dressed, she had control over choosing her own clothing style and/or colors, especially since her school does not require school uniforms. His clothing was appropriate for light movement and physical activity, but his tight jeans allowed for limited mobility. The reason Carmen was chosen for this observation is because she is my sister and her French high school teacher agreed that I could observe her during lessons. Today, students will have the opportunity to present their group presentations in French in front of the entire class. Description of the environment In the classroom, approximately 30 desks with individual chairs were positioned throughout the classroom. The chairs are all lined up facing the center of the classroom. The whiteboard was placed towards the far right of the room. Upon entering the front door, Carmen was sitting at the back, on the right side of the classroom. He had a clear view of the board. The walls were decorated with student homework and French posters. When Carmen entered the classroom, she had a graphing calculator in her right hand. This meant that in his previous… middle of the paper… morning. No matter how much someone explains to her the benefits of a routine schedule, she raises an argument (Feldman, 2015). Socially and personality-wise, her phase of identity-versus-identity confusion has given her some positive results. For example, he is aware of his uniqueness and has embraced it. She likes art and everything that has to do with freedom of self-expression. The moment she took art class at her old high school last year and was the only student to pass with an A, she knew there was something unique about her. Most of the time her teacher used her art assignments as examples for her class and other classes to see. He described it as the easiest and most exciting course he had ever taken (Feldman, 2015).
