Building a gaming computer can be an intimidating undertaking, but in reality with a little hard work anyone can become a wizard at putting together a gaming computer. Why build a custom gaming PC? Well, it will save money and give the builder a great experience. It's always fun to learn how different things work. The price of a high-end retail gaming computer ranges from two thousand up to five thousand dollars and above, a monitor alone could cost a thousand dollars. The two types of gaming PC builds are: the hardcore gamer build which will cost a little more and the casual gamer build which is not that expensive; Furthermore, the steps to build a gaming PC are: create a budget, research what the builder/user wants the PC to be used for, and purchase the equipment. Well, before anything else, here are some component names that you must know so as not to be completely lost. The CPU (Central Processing Unit) (processes everything from basic instructions to complex functions.) (Techterms.com). The hard drive (the location of all the folders, files and information on the computer, saved magnetically, so even if turned off they will all remain saved). The RAM (Random Access Memory) (The more RAM your computer has, the more data can be loaded from the hard drive into RAM, which can actually speed up your computer.)(Techterms.com), The operating system (operating system) ( just what it sounds like, this is the system that makes the computer work, as in Windows, Linux and Apple operating systems.) The graphics card (helps the CPU by processing the graphics part of what the CPU needs to process). The disc drive (this is the CD, DVD or Blu-Ray driver installed to use CD, DVD and/or Blu-Ray discs). The last important term to know is motherboard... half of the card. .....the steps and PC parts have arrived, just follow the directions with the included manuals to put everything together.
