The history of Canada dates back to the Paleo-Indian period, thousands of years ago to today. Canada has for many years been a good place to live for different groups of Aboriginal peoples, with separate trading networks, mystical beliefs and social scales. Some of the civilizations living in Canada at that time were in decline due to the early arrivals and discoveries of Europeans through archaeological research. Numerous contracts and laws were passed between the European colonizers and the Aboriginal inhabitants. However, the first Europeans to come and discover Canada were the Vikings. With this in mind, this essay will outline why the Vikings came and left Canada. More than a thousand years earlier, Vikings from Norway began the journey that would lead them to be the first Europeans to discover North America. In periods, settlements were recognized in the Shetland Islands, the Faroe Islands, Iceland, Greenland and finally Newfoundland and Labrador (Vancouver Sun). However, at that time, when the Vikings discovered Newfoundland, the king was Leif Ericson, son of Eric the Red. Vinland was the name given to North America by the Norse Vikings, given by Ericson. Canada is a country where people have been living in the country for thousands of years. Yet there is a detail that is forgotten, it is very significant to think that Canadian history did not explode with the appearance of Europeans. Canada's history dates back 12,000 years before the first nations existed in the country. With this in mind, the First Nations managed to survive in a harsh environment, but even those people fared poorly, they did not pollute the water, nor the air, and without... middle of paper.... ... the loneliness was not permanent. In conclusion, the Vikings were a people who wanted to expand their territory. With the information we have they expanded to Greenland and the British Isles. And with their struggle they made it and finally found Newfoundland which was so good for them in terms of resources and land. However they could not stay there due to weather conditions and the distance between Greenland and Canada also played a role. And these circumstances led to their abandonment. However, historians may certainly not know all the facts about why the settlement did not last. With this in mind, evidence points to battles with natives, long distance to Greenland, sparse population, and natural environmental factors. In my last words the Vikings were here for an instant and, for numerous reasons, abandoned their settlement, leaving their place forever.
