With six hours of school, several hours of extracurricular activities, community and church activities, and family time, it is virtually impossible for a high school student to keep a full time job. Many college students graduate, but the debt will burden them for years. While scholarships offer the opportunity to help ease the burden, there is still the question of how students can pay for college without accumulating a large amount of debt. Even if a student has a job that pays more than minimum wage, it is difficult to earn enough money to pay tuition out of pocket. Especially when there are other expenses to pay for during high school like a car, repairs on your car, a phone and its monthly plan payments, a laptop, vacation and birthday expenses, gas money, and more.
