Everyone at some point in their lives has experienced or is experiencing being a teenager. A time of self-doubt and self-doubt, adolescence has us begging for someone to inspire us, entertain us, agree and shock us. Many teenagers today find their inspiration in music and specific artists, such as Katy Perry. Katy Perry plays the role of a teen idol on stage, producing songs of empowerment and having the moment that both teenagers and adults long to hear. However, Katy Perry hasn't always been such a mainstream source of inspirational, upbeat music. Her character's story and the direction of her music have changed over the years, her most popular stage behavior has been that of a vintage, candy-clad beauty queen, and her character identifies with everything that teenagers they want. Katy Perry has owned many stage personas in her career, first producing music under a Christian label as a pastor's daughter, then moving on to produce controversial songs like "I Kissed a Girl" and "Last Friday Night." NPRmusic staff wrote about Perry's transformation saying, "Her fans know that her current career is actually a second shot. She first tried her hand at the music business as a teenager, making Christian music as Katy Hudson. She has released an album in 2001, which failed to break through (NPR Staff). world with his teenage character. It was 2008, when Katy Perry released her album "One of the Boys" when her now famous teenage character was introduced to the world. Starting with the release of that album, Katy Perry began to portray herself in a different… medium of paper… together, I think it's a perfect source of entertainment for teenagers, with its guilt-free songs that just toe the line of what's acceptable. Moving on from her failed first album under the Christian music label, Katy Perry will always be remembered for her borderline unpredictable costumes and incredible performances, and as she gets older her lyrics will most likely begin to deepen but still make you sing teenagers and to find wisdom in music.
