Many American residents/citizens argue that illegal immigrants are here to take American jobs, but the jobs that the illegal worker often holds are jobs that most Americans will not perform willing to accept because they do not receive good pay, do not receive any benefits and because the jobs often consist of long-hour shifts. Another reason Mexicans immigrate to America is to escape the violence they experienced in Mexico. Many families decide to risk their lives by crossing the U.S. border just to escape the violence they experience throughout Mexico. During the illegal immigrant's journey, many immigrants die, are raped, and/or injured, all in the hopes of living a better life. These immigrants don't really get a better life if all they do is work, pay bills, and get nothing
