Two of the greatest philosophers, Immanuel Kant and Aristotle, disagree with the actions taken by whistleblower Edward Snowden who leaked confidential information to citizens of the United States. Snowden was a computer specialist for the NSA and CIA who came across information that he believed was wrong and should have been known to US citizens, so he decided to disclose it. Aristotle, based on his philosophy, would have built an argument that Snowden's actions were those of a good person but not of a follower of the polis. Kant makes the same argument as Aristotle, but introduces the comparative side that the government was also wrong. But to get started in the right way we need to know exactly what Edward Snowden did to attract all this attention and to make it easier to explain the philosopher's thoughts. Edward Snowden became famous for being the ultimate whistleblower in the United States. Snowden is a former cyber specialist for the Central Intelligence Agency and the National Security Agency. He took sole responsibility for disclosing to the public up to 200,000 classified documents that contained information about the government spying on its citizens. The big story of what he released centered on an NSA mass surveillance program that tracks U.S. citizens and even some people in other countries using cell phones. The functioning of the mass surveillance system depends on the NSA using the coverage of cell towers in the United States to see exactly where a cell phone and a person are located. There are many ways the NSA can find you using this system, the first is with cell phone data, the second is to triangulate your location using multiple towers, the third is using Wi-Fi data, and the fourth... half of paper... ..hnson, Robert, Johnson,.
