The hardest part about scholarships is not writing the essays that an admissions director will read, but finding all the scholarships that might help you. There are many scholarships that have specific requirements that make them available to a limited portion of the population. Therefore, it is important to not only look for scholarships within whatever your major will be, but you will also need to look for scholarships that apply to your background in life. The other side of the coin, which we have talked about but not yet explored in depth, is that of scholarships within your area of study. If you have a major in mind that you want to pursue immediately in college, it would be wise to apply for as many scholarships in this field as possible. You can never apply for too many scholarships, and between these and other financial aid, it's not difficult to go to college for a relatively low fee. As you can see, applying for a scholarship is simply about economics and is a smart way to pay less to attend
