This advertisement was published by the Campaign to End Obesity, more commonly known as the Obesity Campaign. It is a company founded in 2007 and formed by alliances with leaders in the Administration, Congress and federal agencies on legislation and policies to prevent obesity. Their priorities are to recognize obesity as a disease that can be treated and to bring federal government support into line. The federal government will help with food programs with nutritional guidelines and making healthier foods accessible. Another thing is that they try to make Americans active and fit, for a better lifestyle. Their mission is: “We support and encourage the adoption and implementation of U.S. policies, procedures, and laws designed to reduce the prevalence of obesity in the United States.” In other words, the obesity campaign is designed to help people with health problems through programs and laws that can be passed by the federal government. The Obesity Campaign is well known for its bold, topical and controversial advertising. Many of their ads superficially insult people, some even mock large companies who turn their slogans on their heads. This advertising uses a technique known as shock advertising. It should evoke a stronger emotional state and significantly increase attention. The Obesity campaign is a perfect example of the general shock advertising technique, so they go out of their way to give meaning to their ads, even if they leave viewers shocked. This image tells viewers what McDonald's can lead to health problems. It is said that eating McDonald's can lead to obesity, even health problems and even death. It is aimed at people who usually eat at McDonald's every day, so many organizations only take a little time to send me the recognized ad. Overall, look through the creators point of view and from the viewer's point of view, the picture really attracts attention. The image may be a common advertisement that everyone in America can recognize, because everyone knows McDonald's. The text and image can be remembered and can be criticized about McDonald's. I personally agree with what the image tries to say because we Americans know that the United States of America is indeed number 1 with the most obese people. My opinion can really be shared, because anyone who doesn't live a hard life can't do what they did as a child. I would support the image and really join the campaign to end obesity to help our Americans be a great country. It is better to recover and be strong again as a nation helping each other.
