The book Delusions of Gender was written by Cordelia Fine in August 2010. She was born in 1975 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Over the years, he attended Oxford, Cambridge and University College London to earn degrees in experimental psychology, criminology and his PhD. Since she is writing a book about the differences in the way each of the sexes think, she is prejudiced because she is a woman and has no real insight into what a male has from her point of view. wrote this novel to inform readers that there are differences and similarities between the male and female genders and how each of their minds works. He says: In other words, when we don't think of ourselves as “male” or “female,” our judgments are the same. This quote directly shows us that he is trying to tell us what life is like with each gender. Delusions of Gender is a nonfiction story with the nature of sociological science. Throughout the book, Fine uses a case study method to prove his point in all his research findings because he studied a lot about this idea and then collectively collected all that knowledge into one book and finally cited all his sources that help the reader believe in his writings. It talks about how women and men behave similarly due to their emotions such as happiness, remorse, and sadness but, due to a different part of their brain, their reactive response to each emotion makes them different. This is where stereotyping of each gender comes in, with females making better caretakers because they respond better to happiness and comfort, while males are better workers because they respond more to a reward. This is proven throughout time and history because while in many societies women stayed at home, the male was able to go hunting, forage for food and provide sustenance.
