CHAPTER 1INTRODUCTION1.0 IntroductionKuala Lumpur was built in 1857 in Kuala Sungai Gombak and Klang. In Malay the name literally means "muddy estuary". The settlement began when a member of the Selangor royal family, Raja Abdullah, went to the Klang Valley in search of tin miners. 87 Chinese prospectors traveled up the Klang River and began searching in the Ampang area, which was then a wilderness. While 69 of them remained stranded due to the disease outbreak, a growing tin mine was built. This attracted merchants exchanging basic supplies with miners to take part of the container. Traders set up shop at the confluence of the Klang and Gombak rivers. Thus a city was born. The history of Kuala Lumpur is also strongly related to Haji Abdullah Hukum, who was one of the commanders of the state government. Kuala Lumpur has grown rapidly following the rapid growth of Asian economies in the early 1990s (when mediocre economic growth was 10%). Skyscrapers are being built and Kuala Lumpur, lifeless container colonial outposts, has become one of the busiest, most developed and most motivated cities in Southeast Asia. Most of central Kuala Lumpur has grown without using the central program. Despite most centres, the streets of older urban areas are very small, winding and congested with traffic. The architecture in this part is a kind of unique colonial, European and Chinese hybrid form. For being the main gold city of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur is the main attraction of Malaysia, so one needs to polish the main charm of the city. As stated in the draft Kuala Lumpur Structure Plan 2020, one of the objectives is to transform Kuala Lumpur into the center of the international trade and financial line, as it will call Kuala Lumpur a world-class city....... middle of paper ……ct will be processed. This is very important to verify and analyze office occupants' preferences regarding office space selection criteria. Here, the researcher will conclude all the primary data such as questionnaire and interview and they will be analyzed by a suitable table such as histogram, flow charts and others. The result is also discussed with recommendations and conclusions are drawn. The data will be analyzed using computer system including Microsoft Excel software in order to generate the result. Chapter 5- CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION The conclusion will be conclusive of the entire project. It is where it is demonstrated that the research project has achieved its aim and recommendations have been made based on the research data collected. This chapter 5 also focuses on the further research that will be carried out and summarizes the result.
