Improving these characteristics can help me not only in the workplace, but also in volunteer contexts, at university or even in my personal environment. Knowing how to use these skills can increase my personal confidence and that of those around me, demonstrating the importance of leadership in everyday life. This shows that leadership is often passed down through experience and practice, making it useful to demonstrate these qualities in every aspect of life. I remember a situation where I could have stepped up and led a business through my volunteer internship at SCRI The Club company, however I wasn't confident enough in my abilities. I ultimately regretted not leading the business, which could have led to a possible position within the club, and often reflected on how I could have improved my leadership skills at the time to achieve my goal. Going forward, this will encourage me to improve those skills and foster a better desire to understand what it means to be a
