Dawkins explains the effects of religion in terms of three aspects of religion: science, homosexuality, and abortion which has led people to be extremists. He explains that the difference between religion and scientist is that religion hinders fundamental principles because “it teaches us not to change our minds and not to know what is interesting to know (Dawkins 284). In other words, scientists are willing to change their beliefs or perspectives because of new, accurate evidence that says otherwise, while religious people do not change their beliefs even if the evidence contradicts them. Scientific ideas like evolution are so fascinating and beautiful, but religious people are unable to see them because they are too narrow-minded in their religious beliefs. Even religious people have moralized faith based on passionate care about what people do in their private homes. What is done in private has become an effect on others when you leave home.
